TikTok: Rise to fame
March 12, 2020
Teenagers always find new social media to entertain themselves with.
TikTok is the new trending social platform that people are obsessed with.
Users are able to upload short mobile videos showing their talents such as dancing, giving informative talks, making jokes, and more.
According to TikTok’s website, their mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy.
The demand in the market is increasing, surpassing Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, according to Sensor Tower.
Active users were approximately 150 million in June 2018, being released only after two years.
TikTok is now reaching its full potential for the following reason: TikTok allows people to express themselves through music and videos, which makes the app grow and develop new features that users enjoy.
The app is a blend of previous platforms Vine and Musical.ly.
Vine was completely shut down in 2016, and people were left without a way to make comedy and have fun with social media.
Then, Musical.ly came, and people became fascinated with it.
Owned by ByteDance, Musical.ly was then changed in 2016 to TikTok.
TikTok has provided many opportunities for people to become famous.
Young creators like Charli D’Amelio, Chase Hudson, Addison Rae, and more have grown in popularity by creating content of them dancing and making trends that people follow.
These short, comedic videos have become incredibly popular because it encourages people to have fun and express their personality.
