Creating bonds that last forever
February 7, 2020
Loretto has a variety of time-honored traditions that have been alive for over 90 years that continue to permeate the hearts of today’s students.
From January 29-31, the seniors went on a retreat at Holy Cross Retreat Center.
The retreat is all about getting to know each other and deepening the bond between Loretto sisters before they start their college journey.
Mrs. Cortez, head senior sponsor, said, “I think the girls are left with a stronger sense of Loretto community.
“What happens at the retreat is supposed to be kept a secret from freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, so the seniors and the sponsors that went have to be vague when talking about it.”
However, Mrs. Cortez said, “I guess the goal of the retreat would have been to remind them of God’s love once they leave Loretto.”
As the seniors’ time at Loretto slowly comes to an end, they now they will have the spiritual bonds forever in their hearts.
