As the college basketball season began the I-10 rivalry between NMSU and UTEP continued. 

Many athletic supporters of both teams went to their games held in El Paso, TX on November 12, 2019 and Las Cruces, NM on December 2, 2019. 

The NMSU men’s basketball team traveled from Las Cruces to play against their rival UTEP. 

The game began and crowds were rowdy and excited to see whether UTEP would be able to break the winning streak of NMSU. 

In first half NMSU had some trouble getting past the UTEP defense; second half came along they started off very strong but as eight minutes came along supporters noticed UTEP was too ahead of them. 

UTEP won 50-65, NMSU losing their winning streal getting ready for their next game in Las Cruces Tuesday, December 3, 2019. 

Congrats to the UTEP Miners Basketball team for their win against NMSU and this caused them to break their streak.
