Loretto’s favorite week of the year started on Monday, September 23, and all students were excited to dress up as fun themes.

Each year, students compete in order to earn spirit points to become the winning class of the week.

This year’s theme was Disney, and each classification received a specific category.

Freshmen were animals and creatures, sophomores were people from Disney shows, juniors were villains, and seniors were princesses.

Student council made sure everyone had a fun week by choosing a variation of themes for each day.

On Monday, students dressed up as tropical Disney characters.

The hallway was filled with Lilos, Stitches, and many more creative costumes.

On Tuesday, the school turned into one of Disney’s many parks.

Hawaiian shirts, long socks, and Minnie Mouse ears were the most common accessories among Loretto’s tacky tourists.

Junior Isabela Baca said, “I felt I was at Disneyland when I saw all the girls with Minnie ears.”

On Wednesday, gender swap theme made students transform into male Disney characters.

The most anticipated day was Field Day on Thursday.

Students were eager to play games and to show who the winning class is.

Senior Ana Aranzola said, “My favorite day was Field Day because all seniors were more united this year.”

At the end of the day, seniors got first place, juniors got second place, sophomores got third place, and freshmen got fourth place.

Freshman Ana Escoto said, “It was a really fun experience and it was nice to see the seniors help us.”

The week ended with everyone dressing up as their original category.

The week finally came to an end, and the senior class was excited to be announced as the Spirit Week winner.
