Loretto Academy National Honor Society was in charge of organizing the blood drive.
Each member of NHS needed to get at least five blood donors.

This semester’s blood drive took place at Loretto Academy on Wednesday March 27, 2019.

The blood drive is a way in which not only the Loretto community gets together, but also all those who participate in it.

Carolina Gamboa, NHS member and organizer, said, “Organizing the blood drive meant so much to me because I was able to organize this event which will help so many people and also exemplifies the values of faith, community, justice, and respect that are embedded in every Loretto student.”

In order to be able to donate blood you must meet the weight, height, age, and health requirements for safety reasons.

If you are 16 or 17 and you want to donate blood you must have parent permission.

The blood drive is another way in which our community works together for a good cause.

In total, Loretto NHS raised 102 units of blood.
