Every year, Loretto sophomores gather together to participate in activities that help them bond and grow together as a class.

This year’s sophomore retreat was held on November 6 and was organized by Mrs.
Urias, a religion teacher at Loretto Academy.

The retreat also helps the sophomores grow spiritually and strengthen their faith.

This year, science teacher and Loretto alumni Mrs. Cobb appeared as a guest speaker at the retreat, she talked to the girls about sisterhood and her experience when she was a Loretto student.

Mrs. Cobb also shared tips and experiences with the girls so they can enjoy their Loretto
experience at its best.

The girls were divided in eight groups, and each group had a leader which had to talk about one beatitude.

At the end of the retreat, the girls created skits about the beatitudes with their groups to show what they learned.

During the activities, the girls had the opportunity to bond get to know their classmates better, and strengthen their leadership and teamwork skills.

Sophomore Paulina Quiroz said, “It was a very good time because we had a more bonding experience and we made stronger relationships with each other that we will hold strong throughout our last years at Loretto. ”

The sophomore retreat proved to be a success in creating a closer bond within the Class of 2021.
