May 9, 2025 was a very special day for this year’s graduating class.

In the early hours of Friday morning all 86 graduating seniors gathered on the soccer field to watch the sun rise and share a special moment as a class.

Girls brought snacks and blankets and sat on the field in a circle enjoying one another’s company.

While waiting for the sun to rise, the girls took the opportunity to prepare for the day’s upcoming activities.

In honor of senior prank day each girl was required to bring a bag full of balloons. Together the seniors managed to gather all of the balloons at the front of the school and began to wrap them around the stairs.

As the sun started to rise girls raced back to the field and began passing around decorated posters to use as frames for pictures.

By the time the sun had fully risen, the girls had begun painting their hands and leaving hand prints on one another’s shirts as a kind of souvenir.

The feelings surrounding Senior Sunrise were definitely bittersweet and more than one girl could be heard saying “I’m not going to cry.”

No matter what the future holds, the class of 2025 will always have each other.
