Sr. Olive I wanted to say thank you for all that you’ve taught me regarding my faith and how important it is to know the value of it. You are the best Theology teacher I have had and you always continue bring a smile to all of our faces. Thank you for being a kind, compassionate teacher who I will continue to look up to.

I’ve had the privilege of being in Mrs. Valverde’s math class for the past two years, and I’ve learned so much during that time. Thank you, Mrs. Valverde, for your patience, dedication, and for always taking the time to help us girls whenever we need it.

Miss Kimpell, thank you for igniting my passion in reading and writing, teaching me how important it is to have those sources in my life. Thank you for teaching me valuable skill lessons that I will use throughout my future.

Mrs. Lockhart Walker, thank you for lighting the flame of journalism in me these past few months. You inspire me to reach my full potential in writing, learning, and understanding the importance of using my voice. Keep my number handy as your “personal IT” whenever the iPad doesn’t connect to the screen.

Thank you, Mrs. Cortez, for being there for every Theater or Orchesis member, as well as any student of yours, as your dedication to handle every activity you take on has been appreciated by myself and every 2025 graduate.

Ms. Franco, thank you for guiding the class of 2025 for the past four years as our head sponsor. It has not always been smooth sailing, but we have grown along the way into young women you can be proud of. I will never forget how you taught us the true meaning of being a sisterhood at our Junior retreat. We will miss you, but we know we will always have someone to welcome us back to Loretto with open arms.

Thank you Mr.Causey for making History interesting. Anyone who has Mr.Causey knows the uncertainty of walking into his class now knowing what he will be discussing that day. I had always felt that history was one of my weakest subjects, after Mr. Causey’s class junior year I now see it as my strongest, Mr. Causey has the ability of making any unit interesting and connecting it to today even if it was more than four thousand years ago. I thank you Mr. Causey for not only extending my knowledge but for the laughs and smiles as well.

I can speak from experience when I say that having Mr. Dentinger’s class was one of my favorite experiences. He is a special teacher who knows how to educate students in an efficient and effective manner while also keeping the environment in the classroom relaxing and enjoyable. Keeping this productive relationship with students is difficult to do, especially when teaching an AP course, and yet he did it all the same. One of my favorite things about him is that he is not one to shy away from a joke, especially when it relates to his, very obvious Wisconsin accent. Thank you for being such a cool teacher and for always giving me a class I could look forward to attending.

I never would have thought that I would enjoy physics class but he makes it such a fun learning experience since he knows how to keep our attention. Apart from teaching physics, Mr. Sanchez has taught us listening skills. He is always willing to listen to our stories and ask questions. All his students know that after each class we would have an anecdote to tell. Mr. Sanchez’s passion for teaching and unwavering support have made him a teacher we will always remember and carry with us long after graduation.

Ava Zubia, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Hi! My name is Ava Zubia and I am a senior at Loretto Academy. This is my first year writing for The Prax but this is my fourth year attending Loretto.

I am so excited to be in the position of Co-Editor-in-Chief. I will work together with my fellow peers so that we all contribute equally to producing The Prax. I want to make our year the most amazing it can be.

In my spare time I like to go for long drives, go to the gym, spend quality time with friends and family, and read.

My future plans entail going to a four year university, attending law school, and becoming a lawyer at my own firm. I look forward to striving for our goal for the publications of The Prax and becoming closer to those I am going to be working with.

Daniela Barraza, Managing Editor and Loretto News Editor

Hi! My name is Daniela Barraza and I am a senior at Loretto Academy. This is my first year working on The Prax and am beyond honored to have the role of Managing Editor and Loretto News Section Editor. At a young age, I developed a drive to use my voice to make a change in my surrounding community. Grateful for the opportunity, I will put my passion into my work and continue Loretto’s long-standing tradition of providing an outlet for student voices and promoting leadership. In my fourth year at Loretto Academy, I learned the importance of sisterhood and building deeper relationships and memories that will last a lifetime. Outside of writing, I enjoy baking, watching movies, and taking photographs. My future plans are to attend college at the University of Texas at San Antonio and graduate with a major in cybersecurity. With my experience and the support of my fellow officers, I am confident that we will have a successful year at The Prax alongside our mentor, Ms. Lockhart.

Kylin Aguirre, Loretto News and Entertainment Reporter

Hi! My name is Kylin Aguirre, I am a senior at Loretto Academy, and this is my first year working on The Prax. I am beyond excited to be writing for The Prax and I am thrilled I can share Loretto news with my family, friends, classmates, and most importantly the everlasting Loretto community. I am ready to keep readers informed on all Loretto and entertainment news. This is my sixth year at Loretto Academy and I am sad to leave once I graduate, but I will be forever grateful for the friends and memories I have made along the way. When I am not writing for The Prax, I am either in the dance studio practicing for Orchesis, reading, or watching Netflix. After I graduate, I plan to attend a university where I can study to become a nurse. I couldn’t be more enthusiastic in joining The Prax family and I am proud to be continuing on the legacy of this prestigious newspaper.

Isabella Hallal, Sports Editor

Hi! My name is Isabella Hallal, I am a senior at Loretto Academy and this is my first year working on The Prax. I am beyond excited to begin this journey working as the Sports Section Editor for The Prax. This is my fourth year at Loretto Academy and I have created amazing memories with incredible people which I plan to include many of those experiences in The Prax. I enjoy writing, reading, running, and making jewelry.

After I graduate from Loretto Academy, I plan to continue my education and major in Neuroscience.

I am eager to begin writing impactful stories for The Prax and expanding my knowledge on news occurring around the world.

Clara Ramirez, Entertainment Section Editor

Hello! My name is Clara Ramirez, and I am a senior at Loretto Academy. I wanted to join The Prax because of my passion for writing, and the feelings a powerful story can invoke. As a section editor, I am ready to bring a new perspective to recent news regarding all things entertainment. I have been a passionate writer since middle school, and I am thoroughly prepared to write with accuracy and interest. I plan to bring a sentimental twist to stories because of my deep connection with every grade level at Loretto When I am not writing, I spend my time acting, reading, singing, and watching movies. I intend to study medicine at a four year college, and to later attend dental school. I am very ready to bring my side to The Prax at Loretto!

Madison Pirk, Class Section and Sports Reporter

My name is Madison Pirk and I’ve been attending Loretto Academy for three years now. I am a junior and my favorite subjects are Chemistry, English, and Pre Calculus. The sports I’ve participated in at Loretto Academy are track and cheer, and I am involved in the Loretto Prax reporting about sports news around the school. After I graduate, I plan on attending St. Mary’s like my brothers did, following in their footsteps, while studying dermatology. In the future, I plan on going to medical school, then becoming a physician.

Sofia Favela, Class Section Editor and Social Media Editor

Hi! My name is Sofia Favela, I am a senior at Loretto Academy, and this is my first year reporting for The Prax. This is my second year at Loretto and although I have not been here long, I really believe this is the place for me. Being a part of The Prax is an amazing opportunity for me to showcase my writing and reporting skills, as well as connect in all things Loretto. In addition to writing I also enjoy reading, swimming, and watching movies. I plan to continue my academic journey in a four year university studying computer science, in the hopes of becoming a computer programmer. Ivana Neve, Loretto News and Sports Reporter

My name is Ivana Neve, I am a senior at Loretto Academy and I am a staff reporter for The Prax. I am thrilled to be a part of The Prax and I aspire to become a more proficient writer through my work as a reporter. I have been at Loretto since freshman year and I have made many new friends and connections that have shown me the true sisterhood of the school. I love going to the gym, playing tennis or golf, and going to cafes with my friends and family. After graduating, I plan to go to a four-year university and major in political science then attend law school. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to develop my writing skills and I am looking forward to being a reporter and writing about Loretto news and sports.
