Say What: Easter Memory

Easter is a special day for Loretto Academy students, it signifies the end of the Lenten season, and Christ’s resurrection.

It is a time of triumph, reflection and community.

In the spirit of the season we asked our Loretto students to reflect on their favorite Easter memory.

Senior: Haley Nathan

“ My favorite Easter memory is when I went to Easter mass with my mom.. My dad, and siblings were out of town, but my mom had this surprise plan, because little did I know my dad was in the Easter bunny costume and all of my siblings came back to celebrate Easter with me.”

Junior: Barbara Wilson

“ My favorite Easter memory was in 2020, when it was on my birthday. It was during the pandemic, and my mom put easter eggs outside for my brother and I to look for.”

Sophomore: Sofia Enriquez

“ My favorite Easter memory is when I would go to mass with my family and afterwards we would have an easter egg hunt.”

Freshman: Monse Mendez

“ My favorite Easter memory was when I spent it with my family and friends just looking for eggs.”

Hi! My name is Sofia Favela, I am a senior at Loretto Academy, and this is my first year reporting for The Prax. This is my second year at Loretto and although I have not been here long, I really believe this is the place for me. Being a part of The Prax is an amazing opportunity for me to showcase my writing and reporting skills, as well as connect in all things Loretto. In addition to writing I also enjoy reading, swimming, and watching movies. I plan to continue my academic journey in a four year university studying computer science, in the hopes of becoming a computer programmer.
