On this special holiday we celebrate good luck, and because of that, here are some desirable treats that will bring you the best of luck all year-’round!

To keep the Irish spirit on this day, it is mandatory to have the most enjoyable treats. 

In popular demand is the classic Rice Krispies Treat, but I made them with a little twist of luck.

These treats are the most filling and cutest dessert to enjoy on a day like St. Patrick’s Day.

This lucky recipe is very simple and can be done in less than 3o minutes with only four simple ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • 1 family size box of Lucky Charms cereal 
  • 1 medium-size bag of mini marshmallows 
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract 
  • 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt 

How to prepare: 

  1. Turn stove on and place a large pot over medium heat
  2. Add ⅓ cup butter to the bowl and melt the butter
  3. Once melted, slowly add the bag of mini marshmallows 
  4. Add 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt 
  5. Then, add 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  6. Once all ingredients are melted and mixed in, remove the pot from heat
  7. Slowly pour in the whole box of Lucky Charms cereal 
  8. Then, grease a 9×9 baking dish with butter
  9. Pour mixture into the pan and flatten the top (Do not pack it too tightly)
  10.  Put the pan in the refrigerator for around 20 minutes or until cooled off
  11. Take out of the refrigerator and cut into 12 evenly distributed pieces 
  12. Enjoy!

Maintaining the Irish spirit, these Shamrock Shakes are the perfect dessert/beverage to wash down all those lucky food and desserts.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large scoops of vanilla ice cream (about 1 cup each)
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • Ice
  • Mini milk chocolate chips
  • 4 tablespoons of peppermint extract 
  • Green food coloring
  • Whipped cream
  • Cherries
  • Green sprinkles

How to prepare: 

  1. In a blender, mix vanilla ice cream and the heavy whipping cream, until smooth
  2. Slowly add ice until a thicker texture starts to form
  3. Add as much ice as you’d like until you achieve the desired consistency 
  4. Next, add four to five drops of green food coloring
  5. Then, add two tablespoons of  peppermint extract 
  6. Blend until all ingredients are mixed 
  7. Grab your festive St. Patricks Day cups 
  8. Pour mixture into each of the four cups 
  9. Add whipped cream on top of each shake
  10. Add a cherry to each shake
  11. For the final touch, sprinkle some green sprinkles on top for some sparkle
