Everything you need to know about 2021-2022 college bowl games and college playoffs

     It’s that time of year again! 

     The college football playoffs, bowl games, and New Year’s Six slate were announced on Sunday, December 5th. 

     This year’s lineup of bowl games will have many interesting matchups.

     The 2021 College Football Playoffs (CFP) will include No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Georgia, and No. 4 Cincinnati. 

     The Cincinnati Bearcats made history by becoming the first non-power five conference team to earn a position in the 2021 CFP.

     The Bearcats will play against Alabama’s Crimson Tide in the Cotton Bowl on Friday, December 31st, at 1:30 pm mountain time.

     The Michigan Wolverines will play against the Georgia Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl on December 31 at 5:30 pm.

     The winners of both matchups will start off the new year and compete against each other in the 2022 CFP National Championship Final at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 10th.

     The University of Texas at El Paso’s football team, the Miners, is competing against Fresno State on Saturday, December 18th at 2:15 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

     In addition, El Paso will host the 88th Tony the Tiger Sunbowl on Friday, December 31st, at the University of Texas at El Paso.
