Graduation is just around the corner, and on January 8 the seniors got a glimpse of graduation as they wore their graduation robes for senior portraits.

Due to Covid-19 the senior portraits for the Class of 2021 were done differently than previous years.

For starters the pictures were taken on the campus gymnasium when they are typically in the photography’s company studio.

In previous years the girls made appointments and would go on different dates.

With the senior portraits being on the same day for everyone, it gave the opportunity for the girls, and the teachers, to be able to see the Loretto angles with their gowns on.

The seniors had the day off  which gave them enough time to get ready–makeup and hair.

Senior Ana Regina Gomez, said, “ I feel that it was better to take them at school than at a studio because we were able to see each other, but with social distancing of course.

“All of the safety measures taken were really effective in my opinion. We were all assigned different times and had to wear our masks at all times.

“Taking them at school also served me as an opportunity to see the school again. It was really nice to see a few of my teachers and some of my classmates.”

The times for the seniors to take the pictures were spread out to avoid a crowded gym and therefore to follow safety COVID-19 guidelines.

These senior portraits definitely gave the girls a reality check that they will be graduating this May.
