Quarantine can get boring, but each class is finding different things to do to ease their boredom and make the most out of staying home.

Freshmen Andrea Acosta said, “I have been watching Netflix and struggling to do homework and basically staying in my room most of the time.”

Netflix has taken a great part in helping cure the students’ boredom.

The students have also had to get accustomed to online school.

Aurora Zepeda, a sophomore, said, “For online school I have really liked it so far because when necessary I am able to see my teachers through Zoom, and I like how I am able to turn in my work early.”

Not only does Zepeda enjoy online school, she also enjoys having more time on her hands.

Zepeda said, “I enjoy doing different things on my time that I could not do before such as exercising or watching Netflix.”

Isabella Baca, a junior, stressed the challenges that are faced during quarantine.

Baca said, “I think quarantine has been very difficult I think for everyone because we were so used to our daily routine such as going to school.”

However, amid the challenges, Baca also stressed the positive in these hard times.

Baca said, “During quarantine I have also spent time with my family making puzzles, exercising, and I have had time for myself.

“I think what is happening with the coronavirus has taught us to value the simple things in life and not to take anything for granted.”

The seniors, although they have lost many of their senior activities, are staying positive and finding things to do.

Senior Mariana Arruñada said, “During this quarantine I have taken advantage of the time we have had in isolation to spend more quality time with my mom and learn from her, especially in the kitchen.

“I have also dedicated this time to get closer to God and his teachings.

“Apart from these two things, I have also watched plenty of movies and done some reading of my own.”

All of the classes show that even though quarantine can be boring, Loretto women always find a good use for their time.
