The water lantern festival will commence this March 28 at Ascarate Park on the east side of the Sun City.

This is presented by One World.

The goal of this festival is to create a fun, peaceful, and inviting environment for friends and family to enjoy.

During the festival, participants write their future aspirations, love letters, prayers, and special intentions onto the water lantern.

They then send the lanterns onto the water.

After the festival, they clean the lake and rid it of any paper lanterns and any trash left before the event, leaving no ecological dent on the water.

All the materials needed for this event are provided there and are included with ticket prices.

Ticket prices are $35 until March 15 and $45 until March 27.

This festival serves as a reminder to take care of planet Earth and donate some time to the community for the Lenten season.
