Being a senior comes with various standardized tests and dreaded college applications.

Many students at Loretto have begun their applications and have applied for early admissions.

Two students in particular at Loretto have been accepted to top ranking universities.

Victoria Villarreal, a senior at Loretto, was accepted to Stanford: her dream school.

Villarreal said, “Stanford has been my dream school since I was little and I’m most likely going there.”

Villarreal has applied to other schools such as the following: University of Texas at Austin, St. Mary’s, University of Texas at El Paso, John Hopkins University, and Rice University.

Victoria Torres is another very accomplished and promising Loretto student.

Torres has been accepted to the University of Texas at El Paso, St. Mary’s, and Seton Hall.

Torres, still unsure of what career path to take, shows an interest for the medical field and biology.

Torres said, “I really like the medical program at Brown that ensures automatic acceptance to medical school but I also really like the biological sciences major at Notre Dame, and the curriculum at Columbia.”

In the end, Torres’ dream school is Brown.

As the time comes for Loretto seniors to choose what university they will attend, all their hard work will come through in the end.
