On Saturday, October 12, 2019, UTEP Miners played against Texas Tech in an exhibition game at the Don Haskins Center.

The money earned at the game will go to the victims of the Wal-Mart shooting.

The entry fee was $10, being first come, first serve.

It was a good outcome due to the fact that they collected about $46,000.

The game began; Daryl Edwards, UTEP Miners guard, got 19 points in the first 30 minutes of the game.

When the coach put him on the bench, Texas Tech started to gain more points.

Towards the end, the crowd got louder and more energetic, and the game ended.

The game ended with UTEP 70 and Texas Tech 60; however, it will not be put into their win-loss record, due to the fact it was just an exhibition game.
