Tiger Woods wins 2019 Masters

Sofia Cadena, Sports reporter

On April 19, 2019 Tiger Woods made
news again by winning the Masters
Tournament for the first time since 2005.
This achievement marks eleven years

since Woods’ last major victory.
It is a great comeback for Woods
especially since he has had a few
controversies in the past couple of years
regarding his marriage and a DUI charge
from 2017.
The victory brings great joy to the Woods
family after Tiger’s excoriating back pain
from 2017, that could not be fixed by any
drug or surgery.
Woods is now the owner of five iconic
green jackets, which are presented to each
year’s champion.
The long match ended on the eighteenth
green, which refers to the last hole of the
game.

The crowds will not forget the incredible
moment that Woods and his son, Charlie,
shared when they jumped into each other’s
arms.
Woods’ children only thought that golf
pained his father instead of the excitement
and happiness that it once did.
Not only did Woods become the second
oldest man that has won the Masters behind
Jack Nicklaus but he also made a great
comeback into the world of tennis.
