Out with a Bang

Isabela Martinez

“It was the best of times and the worse of
times…”
Charles Dickens really hit the nail on this
quote for many things, but in this case, he was
accurately describing the most anticipated,
but dreaded event of the year: graduation.
Graduation is the time of year where
everyone says goodbye to their best friends,
their teachers, their school, and most
importantly, the classmates that passed the
homework.
Beside the sob fest that graduates are about
to endure, graduation is the last hurrah for all
where everyone could leave with a bang by
rocking out colorful dresses and awesome
makeup.
Since graduation is closer to the summer
season, it is time to wear colorful clothes
under the cap and gown.
According to Carrie Colbert from
CarrieColbert, she said that the top five colors

to wear this summer are red, blush pink, burnt
orange, golden yellow and blue.
These colors radiate summer vibes and
could be found anywhere in boutiques or
shops.

But of course, makeup has to combine with
the color of dress one is wearing.
If one was to wear a red dress, the ideal
makeup would be a natural glow, according to
StyleCraze or even a bold smokey eye but
without the pop of red lipstick.
If a yellow dress is chosen, the type of
makeup one should wear should lean more to
the natural side again, but with a pop of color
on the lips.
Blue dresses are more complemented by
either a smokey eye or a winged eyeliner, or
could also combine with red and orange
colors!
According to Quora, matching makeup with
orange dresses can be a little tricky, but one
of the options is to wear a nude lipstick or

gloss followed by brown undertone
eyeshadow.
Also, when it comes to pink dresses, one
should focus more on painting the cheeks a
rosy color or simply wear a darker shade of
lipgloss or lipstick to contrast the colors from
the dress.
Following these guidelines could aid
fashion emergencies, but most importantly
help graduates go out with a bang!
